Matching values to culture is an essential part of a strong agency. In the early 2010s, it was very trendy for agencies to have kombucha on tap, bean bags in the conference room, and a ping pong table in the kitchen. Those things were just illusions of culture. Culture is treating your people well, developing talent, and growing your business through individual achievement not profit hunting. If you do those things well, the rest will follow. It is absolutely critical that you walk the walk, because the talk just doesn’t cut it anymore. Walking the walk its matching your words with your action. Matching your stated values with authentic culture. Only employees can define a culture – not employers.
